GreenWays Trails FundThe GreenWays Trails Map, which MEO created first in 2007 and updated in 2012, provides local residents, students and visitors information on trails throughout the City of Marquette. Residents and tourists use the path for biking, walking and other non-motorized activities. The GreenWays Trails include the Noquemenon Trail Network and the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. We encourage people of all ages to understand the positive effects that alternate transportation such as biking, jogging or walking will have on their well-being and the well-being of our community. Michigan Energy Options has created the GreenWays Trails Fund to support these trails. Our goal is to ensure that public resources are invested in the community so everyone has an opportunity to take advantage of what our area has to offer. Safe and sustainable commuting is an important component of Marquette's growing reputation as a community-oriented and environmentally responsible place to live and visit. The GreenWays Trails Fund is supported by Michigan Energy Options and the Marquette County Community Foundation.
