Michigan Energy Options Sustainable Film Series

Join us for thought provoking films, discussion and free popcorn at Michigan Energy Options for our continuing winter film series!  With an emphasis on films that cover Energy, Sustainability and the Environment, films are being screened at our East Lansing Energy Demonstration House, 405 Grove St. East Lansing, MI 48823.

We know that cheap oil won’t last forever and suburban sprawl is unsustainable.  What does this really mean for our future and what can we do about it?

About March Film Feature:

Join us for our continuing Sustainable Film Series featuring Sprawling from Grace; Driven to Madness – “a documentary feature film about the unintended consequences of suburban sprawl.”

This film also illustrates potential solutions, such as the importance of altering the course of how we develop our nation’s cities… to include well designed, walkable, mixed-use communities, that are served by transit.  The film also discusses how we can build and support local economies, defining and creating our community, provide for diversity, improve accessibility, reduce pollution and improve health.

There are many initiatives right here in the greater Lansing region working towards these goals!  Come and meet others who care about this issue, share your thoughts and experiences, and learn about what you can do to help build a better future.

This event is open to all but space is limited!  Please register using the registration form below or call Becky Jo Farrington at (517) 337-0422 ext 303.

Event Details:

Film screening will begin at 7:00 pm on March 4th, 2010 and will be held at:

405 Grove Street
