As part of the broader Mid-Michigan Energy Study, a comprehensive analysis of energy usage in the built environment of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties, MEO and partners developed an online regional energy modeling tool. This tool is an invaluable resource for decision makers and stakeholders in community energy planning, enabling the simulation of different energy scenarios that account for changing economic growth and demographic projections over several decades.
Using the energy consumption data gathered for the Mid-Michigan study, our energy modeling tool allows decision makers to model future annual consumption patterns and identify areas for improvement in energy efficiency. This data-driven approach is a vital step towards reducing the region’s carbon footprint and creating a more sustainable future.
We believe that our energy modeling tool is a critical resource for regional energy planning, and we are thrilled to share it with decision makers and stakeholders in the Mid-Michigan region and beyond. With its help, we can develop strategies to increase energy efficiency and reduce our impact on the environment.
